1) Senior Partner Involvement
Each Search Partner works with a dedicated in-house research team member to create and implement a customized recruitment plan and identify qualified candidates. The role of the Partner is to reduce this large group of qualified candidates into a select number of appropriate finalists. This is done through behavioral interviewing, assessment and ranking, based on the criteria for the specific position AND the fit.
The Partner must first understand the people and culture of the client organization in order to search out candidates who will thrive in that specific environment. This requires a close cohesion among the partner and research team to be successful.
2) Original Research
We utilize a wide variety of tools in our original research for the top candidates in the marketplace. Few of the candidates we approach are actively considering a career move, so research is the best way to identify this hidden talent pool. Our research tools include: targeted industry mapping, database searches, referrals, electronic postings and industry listings through associations and professional organizations. This combination of activities may yield up to 200 potential candidates in a given search. Our challenge is to narrow the field to the top three or four finalists, from which our client will select the best suited individual for the assignment.
3) Cambridge Evaluation Matrix
Features of our services include structured behavioural interviewing, in-depth qualitative and quantitative assessments and the Cambridge Evaluation Matrix. Based on customer feedback, the matrix can be an extremely valuable client tool in preparing for candidate interviews. Where there are elements of consensus decision-making associated with the selection of short-listed candidates, the matrix provides consistent and objective information for assessment purposes.
