Maurizia's expertise is focused on Corporate Governance Advising and Executive Search for the Healthcare and Media sectors. In 1984 she founded Athena, an Executive Search Company, where she headed the Executive Search practice for 10 years , in Italy representing World Search Group, an international network of executive search firms. From 1994 to 2001 Senior Director at Spencer Stuart Italy, Member of  Partner Nomination Committee and Quality Committee;  member of  Healthcare, Media practices. In 2001 Maurizia cofounded Governance Consulting, a start up created to face challenges of corporate governance issues, driving board practice activities (board composition, CEO and top management search, board performance reviews). In 2004, she founded Nedcommunity, an Italian association of Non Executive Directors. In 2007 she joined Key2People as a Partner to develop the Board and Governance Practice. She has been a Director of Natuzzi (NYSE Listed Company), and is currently a Board Director of the Bank of Italy.   Maurizia was President of Save The Children Italy until 2008 and is now Chair of Oxfam Italy. She currently writes for various Italian and international financial publications. After graduating in philosophy in 1972, she specialized in psychology. Maurizia is married with three children.
