In October 2009 Anthony Ainsworth was reelected to the Board of IIC Partners as director for Asia Pacific following a previous four year term from 2002 - 2006. He is currently the lead Director on Transborder activity. Anthony has worked in business consultancy and executive search in Southeast Asia since 1993.
Anthony joined the executive search firm RGC of Bangkok, Thailand in 1999, where he is a director and specializes in senior positions for the banking, securities healthcare, consumer and trading sectors. Before joining RGC, he was a general manager in business and management consulting for IMIC in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, where he established a placement agency, as well as a remuneration and benefits practice. His business background includes positions with Lehman Brothers, Euromoney and The Body Shop.
He holds dual British and Irish citizenship and was educated at Harrow School and Sandhurst Royal Military Academy. He served as an officer with the British Army in Germany.
In 1991 he founded the Bike Aid foundation for primary education in Southeast Asia, raising $60,000 and personally cycling 9,600 km along the route from London to Saigon.
