Jan Beerling and Gerald Knol to Lead Holstrop Ravesloot as New Managing Partners

Freek Muller has decided to follow his passion by completely focusing on the executive search trade, as he transfers his executive responsibilities to partners Jan Beerling and Gerald Knol. After the handover Jan will act as managing partner for industry clients, whilst Gerald will carry responsibility for the public domain.

About Freek Muller

For more than thirty years Freek has been an integral part of Holtrop Ravesloot, a period during which he has evolved into one of The Netherlands’ leading executive search consultants. Within Holtrop Ravesloot Freek has built a public sector practice from the ground up after he had, for several years, worked with numerous private sector clients. He has always been fascinated by leadership challenges, as well as the dynamics of social systems.

In 2005, Freek took the reins after Wim Ravesloot handed him the proverbial baton; shortly thereafter Jan and Gerald joined as partners.

As of January 1, 2021, Freek Muller has transferred the company’s ultimate responsibility and ownership to his colleagues Jan and Gerald and will remain tied to the organisation as partner.

About Holtrop Ravesloot

In 2020 Holtrop Ravesloot has streamlined its mission by focusing on a careful contrast in executive search. Driven by future leadership challenges, which are a key focus during the search for leaders that help shape organisations’ outlooks, themes such as innovation, digitalization, and sustainability take centre stage. Holtrop Ravesloot has one of the most hybrid portfolios in The Netherlands. They are motivated by the search for complementarity within leadership teams, in both the private and public domains.

Continually Building on Expertise

Jan and Gerald: ‘We are delighted that Freek will remain a part of the team in the coming years, where he will continue to do that which he does best: practising our wonderful profession. The future is always exciting, and we are pleased with the fact that we can build on Freek’s expertise, while also involving him as valuable sparring partner when it comes to the executive search profession and our organisation.
