Andrew Leider has been a Managing Director at Potrero Group since 2013. Andy specializes in operations management, leadership strategy, facilitation, and staff engagement for organizations in transition. He has led transformative leadership and learning processes for organizations and individuals for more than 30 years. His Potrero Group clients include dozens of national conservation and public lands organizations for whom he has led executive and board searches, leadership and organizational assessments, strategic and business planning, and served as a coach and advisor.
Andy is a founder of two nonprofit educational organizations, Montana Yellowstone Expeditions and the Edges Coaching Community, as well as a senior manager for Outward Bound, On The Edge Productions, and the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy. Andy was an independent consultant to BARR Center (Building Assets, Reducing Risks) and Outdoor Safety Institute, and has served as an executive coach, special advisor, and leadership team facilitator with Voyageur Outward Bound School for more than 10 years.
As senior program manager with Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy, Andy was instrumental in developing Healthy Parks, Healthy People, a groundbreaking program linking parks with underserved, high-health-need communities, and Climate in the Parks, a national effort to promote science and climate change literacy through public lands. Andy holds a coaching certification in Somatics from Strozzi Institute and a degree in history from Gustavus Adolphus College.
