Jeffrey Harris is the founder and Managing Partner of Harris Search Associates, an IIC Partners member firm where he leads the firm's Higher Education, Academic Medicine, and Healthcare Administration practices. Over the course of his career, he has led hundreds of senior leadership executive search assignments including the identification of the next President/Chancellor, Provost, Deans, Vice Presidents, and other senior executives. Clients include the foremost public and private universities, research institutes, national laboratories, academic health centers, and healthcare organizations driving global innovation and discovery.
Jeffrey is the Global leader of the IIC Partners Education, Not for Profit and Government Practice, and from 2010 - 2013, he was appointed to the Board of IIC Partners as Vice-Chair for the Americas. He is also a member of CUPA - HR, and the American Council on Education (ACE) Executive Search Roundtable, an association of professionals dedicated to the development of best practices in higher education search execution, the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), Association of University Research Parks (AURP), Association of University Technology Managers (AUTM), Educause, and the American Medical Informatics Association.
Prior to establishing the firm in 1997, Jeffrey worked five years for a leading retained executive search firm where he concentrated on senior executive search assignments on behalf of leading engineering, research, and health sciences clients.
Jeffrey holds a Bachelors Degree from Ithaca College and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Dayton.
